Consider the amount of time you will spend on the Internet searching for work at home jobs and find that the majority you have came across is a scam...then yes! You're going to waste much more money being scammed. When I first started looking for jobs on the net, I was scammed by data-entry sites that required a fee (like $49.99) to start and by rebate processing sites. They were all scams!

Get paid to read - top 2 resources

Posted by Shannon on 8/12/09

Di d you know that you can get paid to read emails? It's true you really can. Earlier, this year I took a shot at signing up for various companies that offer paid emails. A lot of internet surfers did not know that it is possible to get paid to read emails...and neither did I until earlier this year.

"If you are going to check your email anyway, you might as well get paid doing it."

After testing and trying several companies, these were the ones that I found to be the most successful:

Hits4Pay

*Hits4Pay - My personal favorite. Hits4 pay is an exclusive opportunity to earn money reading email. It's simple to sign up and you can start reading email instantly. Hits4Pay will send the paid emails directly to your email account or you can read them from their personal database on their website.

You get paid .02 cents per email that you read and you must reach $25.00before you get paid at the end of the month. However, you get $10.00sign-up bonus just for signing up....instant $10.00.

The quickest way to earn money is by referring your friends to do the same thing. Not only will you get paid to read email, but you will also get paid when your friend read emails too. That means double for you...and now you've just showed someone else how to make real money from the internet.

So what are you waiting on? Help yourself, help someone else, get paid $10.00 instantly. Sign up here.

Clixsense

Clixsense. My second favorite. This site is very similar to hits4pay but you will read their paid emails from their database on their website. You choose the emails you would like to receive and you get paid .01cent from reading them. You can use the $10.00 you accumulate to upgrade your account to premium and receive many more emails, which means more money for you. You can also make more money by referring your friends.

I suggest you sign-up with these two first. There are many others that I know about but these two are the ones that pay the best.

Good luck!

Drving Traffic to your Blog

Posted by Shannon on 7/9/09

Now that you have your blog, you are probably wondering how to drive traffic to your site. I too had the same concerns when I began writing articles for my blog. I wrote good content that I thought would bring people to my site but what if no one knows about it? If no one knows about your blog then you are not going to get traffic.

So what do I need to do?

  • Well first things first. Take care of the easy tasks first. Contact all your friends and family members and let them know you have a personal blog that you want them to check out. If you have myspace or facebook, let all you friends and fans know that you have a new blog.

  • Sign up with Twitter and follow people with the same interests as yours.

  • Sign up with blog communities, just look up blog communities.

  • Chat in forums and leave your blog name with the web address as your signature.

  • Use your favorite keywords frequently in your posts but don't go overboard.

  • Make sure that your blog in listed in all search engines.

  • Update your blog frequently. Search engines recognize that these type of blogs are not dead and are relied upon more often.

These are the most important steps that you should take. Once this done, you will notice traffic arriving to your blog.

One of the things I do is create fliers with tear-off tabs and hang them up all over the city. This generates a lot of traffic for me.

Making your Blog Successful

Posted by Shannon on 6/26/09

There are quite a few things you will need to do to make your blog successful. I have broken down, the 3 most essential things will bring money to your site.

Google AdSense is a advertising revenue program that pays you per click. They will place advertisements on your page (in text, photo, etc) and you get paid for each time someone clicks on the advertisements. It's a great program and easy to set up. They have an open forum that you can use to ask questions and you can also ask them questions through e-mail.

Commission Junction is an advertisement company that gives you a certain percentage for selling and promoting other people products on your site. I had a woman sign up with a hosting company that I advertised on my site and got paid $100.00. I had someone else sign up for a women's community(somewhat like myspace) and I got paid $2. It all just depends on how much the company is willing to pay and they tell you upfront how much that is.

  • Sign up with ClickBank. (Completely Free to sign-up)

ClickBank is somewhat like commission junction. Basically, you choose products that you would like to promote on your site or anywhere on the Internet and they will give you a personalized link. When someone uses your link to purchase a product, you will get paid a certain percentage or an cash incentive for selling that product.

These are the three top companies that I personally work with. I have not had any problems getting paid. This is where the real money is when you want to make money on the Internet.

First things First:

Read the first part of these lesson here before you get started on these essential follow-up steps. I know that you can be successful in Internet marketing. Read Part 1 here.

Do you have something that you are passionate about, such as cooking, coming up with your own receipes, reading books, quilting, being a mother, up-to-date on the latest gadgets, etc.? Many people just like you have made millions from their hobbies.

Did you know that it is statiscally proven that most people are successful when they do something that they are passionate about? When you are passionate about something, you take the time to do things right, regardless of how long it takes. You put the time in to get what you want out of it. You ENJOY doing your hobby.

But did you know, you could be bringing in thousands of dollars blogging about things you love?

I started this blog because I love helping other people. I have a lot of expereince working from home, so I decided to share my knowledge of how others can find legit, work at home jobs. This is something that I am passionate about. Not to mention, I am an internet guru, I love being on the internet and I was determined to find ways to make money from the internet.

And I did.

I'm sure, you have probably heard this millions of times before, but I am here to tell you that you can actually make money from blogging about your favorite hobby.

Earlier this year around January, I came across affliate marketing.

Affliate marketing is where you promote other people products on you own website. When someone, purchases a product through your affliate link on your website, you will get paid a certain percentage(10% - 75%) of the total cost.

Okay, here's an example:

  1. You advertise a certain store(VistaPrint.com, Walmart, Amazon.com, etc.) as a banner on your webpage.

  2. Someone clicks on the banner and is taken to the advertiser's website.

  3. They buy a product from the store.

  4. You get paid a certain percentage (10% - 75%) of the sale.

Here's another example:

  1. You send traffic to an advertiser's website by displaying their banner on your site(for example, LunarPages - web hosting).

  2. Someone purchase their services and you get paid $100.00 just for sending them a customer.

This is called affliate marketing. And most people will simply overlook this unique way to make money online.

I currently bring in XXXX.XX doing this blogging thing. Yeah, XXXX.XX is not much, but hey when you think about bills that has got to be paid and kids that have to be fed, it does me good to have a little extra money.

I just wanted to be real with you all. I do this blogging thing because I love it. I enjoy helping you. I have a passion for people and want to see you prosper.

Working from home has always been my dream...and now my dream has came true. Now it's my job to help yours come true. Whether you need a part-time work from home job, full-time work at home job, want to spend more time with your family and make your own schedule...what ever the case may be, I am here to help you and give you real advice from my pool of experience.

I'm already making money, If you are ready to start blogging, lets start off with the basics.

  • First you will need a domain name.

A domain name is the name of your website address. This can be whatever you want it to be, but I reccomend that it relates to what you will be talking about. If you will be talking about cooking, then it should be something like http://www.debrascookingcuisine.com/ or http://www.debrashomestylereciepes.com/.

What ever you choose make sure it is unique and easy to remember.

  • You will need to purchase your domain name, by going to GoDaddy.com.

I'm sure you have heard of GoDaddy.com. The number one domain name seller out there. I would not recommend anyone one else. These people are known for delivering great service and personalizing your experience.

Host gator is actually rather cheap, and they provide excellent support 24/7 via live chat and telephone. There is always someone there to help you. This is one company that I have never heard anything bad about....period.

  • Connect your domain to your host.

This is really easy. All you do is go to your godaddy account and change the domain name servers. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to your Godaddy account and enter your login information.

  2. Click on Domains.

  3. Then click on My Domains from the menu of Domains.

  4. Then click on the Name Servers Icon and change it to the ones that HostGator sent you via email.

Now all you have to do to get started blogging is go to yourdomainname.com/Cpanel. This will take you to your hosting account.

Scroll down to the bottom and click on Fantastico. From there click on Wordpress (Click new installation).

You should have a link to your blog now called Login. Login using your username and password.

Don't let your hobby go to waste, put it to use and make some real money.

Just for inspirational purposes, check out these Internet Entrepreneurs who are making over $40, 000 a month from blogging!

1. Darren Rouse, Problogger.com

2. John Chow, johnchow.com

3. Micheal Dunlop, retireat21.com

These people are my inspiration and I think that they will be of good use to you too. But don't forget about me, we are in this together.
